Note: Statement from Flanagan on his resolution - “The resolution amending the recognition and funding process to be categorical had missteps and oversights that were made apparent to me through the feedback I received from others. As such, I realized that the resolution wasn't ready to be passed. Rather, it would take a lot more time and more than just myself to get the recognition and funding processes to a place that we are all content with. My hope is that this resolution will be used to start a conversation and serve as the beginning of steps to be taken on fixing what most believe is broken.”
